Exactly 20 years ago, we were a few scores of teenagers clad in black and white who stood at our first critical crossroad in life, tense about the first major test we were going to take in life which was supposed to decide the course of our future, and sad about cutting the umbilical cord with the school which fed us with knowledge, friendship, happiness and a lot more.
ReplyDeleteAnd from that crossroad, each of us took our own direction to meet with our destiny. Over the next 20 years, these simple human beings in black and white changed many colours in life, and so did the world around us. But deep within each heart, we always knew that our root is still black and white, so genuine and vivid. Even when we forgot something which happened later in life, those trivial happenings at school still remain etched in our soul. And these memories have been calling us back ever since we
bid farewell to school.
We are now blessed with an opportunity to return to that world of childish innocence to undo a lot of pressure which we gathered along over the last 20 years, and to unlearn the fear and greed which we picked over that period. Let us join once again to be OURSELVES, to cherish the good moments we had in life after we parted ways, to share the pain, to bridge the gap, and above all to come home where we really belong…….

ReplyDeleteFirst of all thank you for your wishes...well, the credit goes to you all for being the inspiration to set this blog up. Your active responses and mails post-global get-together was amazing and one among you suggested the idea of a blog. Since I'm already a blogger, my hubby asked if I could set one up for his SMS '89 group and it just came up.
From here on,I'm sure Dr.Feroz will keep the blog alive. Your suggestions are most welcome.
