Sony, indeed, is a sharp observer. Even as a boy, he was; a silent observer. He silently observed, when nobody else did, Jean teacher’s anger boiling before it spilled out to leave 5 red marks on Kochu Muthalali’s oily face. He observed, when nobody else did, the forecast of a massive heart attack on Magic Dancer’s face while the dancer was performing for us on stage. And he observed, when nobody else did, the abuse of “But” and “then” in my writing.
That's what I call keen observation. Thank you, Sony. With you, my friend, I can throw away my mirror.
But I think, the naturality is lost when you become conscious of your style as a writer. So I would rather let this style remain in me, like black moles on my forearms, or a small scar on my back (My identification marks as given in my SSLC Book), than becoming artificial.
But your comments mean a lot!

Let the natural style of the WRITER be there, otherwise we will miss the CATALYST effect of writing.... We will miss the DRIVING FROM BEHIND effect of the stuff.... Above all I am happy as the WRITER has cme in frnt of peple than his prefered BEHIND THE SCENES customs..!!! Since this is a BLOG I v made sure not to use the "EXACT word" which I wanted to use here... May b M Cheery PAREEKKUTTY & LONDON PRAKASH are better people to explain... Or may be the best person will be KOCHU MUTHALALI with his wide experiance over years all over the world.... Even PONNANGALA with his experience in GULF....
ReplyDeleteEach and every human being (please include all living beings if you would so prefer) has her own style - be it the behavioral pattern, attitudes, mindset, mannerisms or something simple as moles and scars.
ReplyDeleteI believe that we identify a person as the sum total of all attribute collections represented by her.
If something is deleted from this collection about an individual, or even changed to match with the attributes of somebody else... that particular individual ceases to be herself... she becomes somebody else...
... and to be clear about my using the feminine gender (for those who already don't know - as one of my friends who recently argued with me about that topic), it is a universal practice to represent abstract concepts in the feminine gender only....
For eg: The Universe, The Earth, Mother India, etc are all considered to be members of the fairer sex.
It has nowadays become a practice to extend this principle while talking about generic ideas... especially in the literary circles...
And regarding observation, I suppose that it will help a person to support one's clients better if one is in business... by better identification of the clients needs.
... and I think that it (behavioral psychology) is taught as part of the curriculum (in certain universities) for many professional courses...
